RESPONSIBLE CONNECTION IS A COLLABORATION OF CROSS-SECTOR, HIGH STREET BRANDS AND THEIR SUPPLIERS WHO ARE WORKING TOGETHER TO ACHIEVE MORE RESPONSIBLE AND ETHICAL BUSINESS. THE GROUP WILL COLLECTIVELY IDENTIFY KEY ISSUES WITHIN THEIR SHARED, AND WIDER SUPPLY CHAINS VIA A SET SERIES OF BEYOND AUDIT TOOLS AND INSIGHT.
Being part of the Responsible Connection acts as a step to ensuring transparency within your supply base, and is a key activity that can be included in statements in line with the Modern Slavery Act. The Responsible Connection programme will add value to your organisation either as an addition to current ethical activities or as a standalone tool.
Responsible Connection Membership Requirements
Members of Responsible Connection need to undertake the following 4 actions within a 12 month period:
1. ASSESS & BENCHMARK
Members will identify a set of their suppliers to be invited to participate in the programme. This set of supplier will then complete the first RTW Assessment.
2. NEEDS ANALYSIS & CAPACITY TRAINING
Following completion of the assessment, members are encouraged to deliver bespoke capacity training to develop the required knowledge, skills and behaviours.
3. RE-ASSESS & BENCHMARK
Suppliers should complete the assessment for a second time, approx. 6 months after the initial assessment. This allows relevant time for the newly developed knowledge and skills to have been transferred to the workplaces.
4. EVALUATION & LEARNING
Following completion of the second RTW Assessment, we will work with members to review the data collated throughout the programme, identifying trends, required development, and areas of risk and excellence.
Once the above criteria has been met, the brand and its participating suppliers will receive a Responsible Connection recognition stamp which can be freely used to promote themselves and be recognised as taking part in activities to ensure responsible business practice.
